Obituary of Edward Joseph Renaud

July 22, 1971-March 28, 2025

Edward Renaud, 53, passed away peacefully at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare on Friday, March 28, 2025. 

Ed is the father of James (2025) and  is survived by his loving son, Brady. 

Son of the late Paul and Donna Renaud (nee O’Connor). Brother of Paul (Claire), JoAnne (Denis), the late John, and Liz (Ken). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. 

Ed had a passion for cars and owned many throughout his life. He always enjoyed the look and feel of a nice sports car. You never knew what he was going to be driving but you always saw him coming. 

Ed studied education at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Upon completion of teachers college abroad, he returned home to pursue his career. He was hired by the WECDSB and worked in primary classrooms for a number of years. He was devoted to the profession and loved teaching. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to continue on that path due to some complicated health issues. But he was always supported by the many kind people, including coworkers, parents, and students, he met while he was working. 

Ed’s family would like to thank all the healthcare workers that have helped him along his journey, especially the staff at the Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Emara Bldg for their compassionate care. We know that every one of you made a difference. 

Cremation has taken place. If so desired, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
