Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" Porter

82 years.  Passed away on May 10, 2026 with his family by his side.  Beloved husband of over 60 years to Sharon. Devoted dad of Shawn (Madelyn) & Jody (Pamela).

Proud grandpa of Timothy, Cassandra, Samantha, Tyler, & Makayla, Dear Great-grandpa of Elliot.  Dearest brother of Joyce (Gord), Leonard (Sylvia), the late Jane (Terry), & Donna (Glen).

Brother-in-law of Wayne (Dale), the late Frank (Loretta). Jerry will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Jerry was a dedicated mechanic working for the Town of Amherstburg for over 22 years.  He was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished his time coaching and cheering them on.  Family meant everything to Jerry.  Jerry and Sharon enjoyed 24 summers at Wildwood by the Lake in Morpeth where they formed many friendships there. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to the Villages of St. Clair and Hotel Dieu Pallative Care for the care and compassion shown to Jerry and his family. 

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or Transition to Betterness (T2B) would be greatly appreciated.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family celebration will take place at a later date.
