Obituary of Kevin Douglas Wessel

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the age of 59.  Beloved husband of Susan (nee Bates) for 40 years.  Loving father of Melissa (Jim), Matthew (Carissa), and Christopher (Nicole).  Much loved Papa of Alana, Olivia, Isabella, Nolan, Aubrey, McKenna, Regan, Greyson, Aidan, Austin, and great-grandfather to Levi.  Predeceased by his parents Ernie and Annie Wessel.  Dear brother to Linda (Gary) Stauth, Melody (Ken) Beuglet, Gloria (Doug) Richmond, and Steven (Linda) Wessel.  Kevin will also be deeply missed by his brothers, sisters in-law and his many nieces and nephews.  

An admirer of Carl Segan, Kevin enjoyed reading, learning and discovery through the lens of a camera, telescope or sitting on the banks of a river fishing. He will be missed for his sense of humour, kindness, and eternal love of his wife and family. He was a health Care professional and a supportive member of Windsor Essex Military Family Support Group.

A memorial service will be held in Kevin’s honour at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1570 Marentette Ave at 11:00am on Saturday, September 29th with a luncheon to follow.
