Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Reunited with his beloved wife Shirley (August 12, 2015) whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage. Cherished father of Robbie (Nancy), Gord (Cheryl), Tracy (Yvonne), Danny, Kenny (Kellie-Toots). Predeceased by his parents Mary Jelena and John “Harold” Johnson. Loving brother of Marvin (Clare), the late Kenneth, Marlene, the late Jerry Keith, Wendy, Diana (Adrian) and Michael (Judy). Proud grandfather of 11, predeceased by granddaughter Christina (2011) and 13 great-grandchildren. Dan will be missed by his in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends at Sunrise Retirement Home. Dan was a member of The Legion Branch 143 for years. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting and playing cards. Dan had a good sense of humour and enjoyed telling jokes and playing pranks on people. IITYWYBMAD. He loved his family and they loved him. Dan retired from Chrysler Canada after 30 years of service. He enjoyed 25 years of retirement to the fullest. At Dan’s request cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cremation Society of Windsor and Essex County.
