Shelley was my bookkeeper and I'll always remember when we first met - her bright personality, wit, and the funkiest of outfits always brought a smile to my face. She was always colour-coordinated with cute headbands and purses, leggings and tops. Efficient at her job, she took care of me professionally but also cared and comforted me when I needed it personally. I was always in awe at what a bad-ass woman she was and admired her ability to juggle a professional life with children. She spoke of her children and grandchildren all the time, sharing stories about which always brought many big laughs. She was so caring, compassionate and quick-as-a-whistle. I'll miss her. My heart goes out to her children and grandchildren as I know the grief you are feeling is incredibly strong. I hope with time, you're able to reflect and remember her with the same laughter and smile she had when speaking of you without the pain of losing her. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Shelley was such a beautiful, kind, compassionate soul. She saw the best in everything. I am so happy she contacted me after 40 some years. . We chatted for about an hour and it seemed like no time had passed. I know how deeply she loved her children and grandchild. They were her world. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her children, grandchildren and family. God needed another angel and called on Shelley. She will be looking down, sending love and guidance to you. Your grief will go away to smiles and memories, it just takes time. My condolence to all. Love Brenda xoxo

There are so many memories with Shelley, my beautiful sister, she made curtains for my dining room, shipped them all the way here to Nova Scotia, would not take any money for them, which prompted me to buy a sewing machine ( am not a sewer by any stretch of the imagination) for various other curtains etc. that I had to make, we had a good laugh about that. Her generosity and kindness was amazing, I know that Shelley sewed so many masks for nurses and health care workers ( she wanted to do this) and she did not charge anything for sewing them. Shelley had a heart of gold and gave of herself selflessly. She loved her children and grandchildren so much and always shared with me what everyone was doing. I miss her dearly and always will, she will forever be in my heart. ❤️❤️❤️ Heath

No words seem appropriate to express my sadness at the loss of my dear friend. I had hoped that she would be a “shining star”, as her oncologist put it, and defeat this terrible disease. I am so grateful to have spent so many hours together in these last several years with Shell. Our lunches and trips shopping for materials so she could craft some beautiful and special items for grandkids and others, as she was so very talented in so many ways. The loves of her life, (everyone knew), were her kids and grandkids… and of course those two furry friends. She has left us all with broken hearts, but I am so very grateful for the wonderful memories and fun times together. Those that touch our lives will stay in our hearts forever. “A heart of gold stopped beating, working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Leaves and flowers may wither, and the golden sun may set…but the hearts that loved you dearly are the ones that will never forget…”

I will always remember Shelley's huge smile everytime I came over. Her laugh, quick wit and most importantly her love for chìldren and grandchildren. She was such a smart woman and helped me with many questions I had in regards to accounting. She continually gave of herself and I hope she is at peace after such a long fight. ❤
