Obituary of Lisa Costa

Costa, Lisa Lisa Costa (nee Ferrante). It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife and friend Lisa. Lisa passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with Cancer with her adoring family by her side. Loving wife of Giovanni (John) Costa Jr. Cherished Mother of Robert and wife Natalie, David and Julia. Loving Daughter of Biagio (2021) and Rita Ferrante and Daughter in Law of Giovanni (2014) and Teresa Costa (2021). Survived by her sister Lora & Michael Long , brother Victor and Heather Ferrante as well as sister-in-law of Tony and Mary-Ann Costa, Adrianna and Michael (2019) Meloche and Leonora and Troy Cummings. Zia of Carissa, Michael, Madelena, Milana, Sarah, Michael, Renee, Samantha and Andre. Lisa will be dearly missed by many other relatives and friends. Lisa was an incredibly loving Mother and wife that filled a room with her bright smile. Lisa made everyone around her feel special and never put herself first. Her greatest joy was her children that she nurtured and loved endlessly. Lisa had a contagious vibrancy that brought anyone that knew her or even those that didn’t to feel drawn to her warmth. Lisa was a passionate cook, baker, avid gardener, seasoned thrifter, and could often be found in her pool on hot summer days. Lisa was never too far from her husband John’s side as they toured Canada’s north and America’s southern states to find warmth. They took many back road drives and combed the countryside as they shared their love of just being together for over 40 years. The two of them were inseparable. She was an amazingly driven person who persevered and fought relentlessly for four years and over 80 rounds of chemo with the utmost positivity and stamina. Per Lisa’s specific wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services or visitation. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 26, 2023 at 3pm at the Ciociaro Club of Windsor (3745 North Talbot Rd. Oldcastle).
