Obituary of Pamela Joan Barnett
Heaven received an Angel from Earth on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Pamela Joan Barnett passed away very peacefully at the Hospice of Windsor (Empress St). Pamela was born on December 14th 1932. Pamela dedicated her life to the Christian faith and her service to the well-being of children. As her God-daughter, Kathy and with my husband, Gary, Adam and Brendan, we were blessed that Aunt Pamela chose many years ago, to move from England and make Windsor, Canada, her home.
She worked as an Elementary school teacher for the WECPSB until she retired. Pam was also a Sunday School teacher and volunteer at the Food Cupboard (St. Mary’s) for very many years. Not only that, she served on the board of Connections Early Years Family Centre and volunteered at their “Come and Play” Drop-in-Centre.
We would like to thank the Staff of Hospice for the care and respect they showed to Pamela and her loved ones during her final journey. Pamela will be greatly missed by her family in England as well as her adopted family and friends, God-Son George, Heather, Megan and Laura, Steven Snider, Emy McBride, Betty Huebert and her family.
There will be a Celebration of Life/Memorial Service with Interment, to be held at St. Mary’s Church in Walkerville, to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Connections Early Years Centre, St. Mary’s Food Cupboard or Wing’s Rehab (Amherstburg). These would be greatly appreciated. Pamela’s light will shine on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
Memorial Service to celebrate the life of an incredible woman will be held on April 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. At St. Mary's Anglican Church (1983 Mary's Gate St. Windsor ON, N8Y 1J8) with The Ven. Jane Humphreys officiating. Committal to follow
