Obituary of Charlie Durning

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Charlie Durning April 16, 2023 at 70 years of age. Loving father of Jennifer Durning (Michael Zalev), Carlyn Bistany (Greg) and Taylor Durning. The best Grampa to William, Nathan, Charlie, Arlo, Piper and Isla, who were his pride and joy. Remembered by his wife of 30 years Cheryl. Pre-deceased by his parents Charles and Catherine, and his sister Connie Simpson (2022). Survived by his sisters Kathleen Cherrie (Paul), Anne Chopowick (Mike) and brother-in-law Jack Simpson. Loved by many nieces and nephews as Uncle Charlie. His life-long love of hockey never faltered, recently earning him Volunteer of the Year from the Windsor Minor Hockey Association. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Charlie’s memory to the Windsor Minor Hockey Association. Family was everything to him, and he was everything to his family.
