Condolences to the Lynch family.
I still remember Don as a good friend from high school. Hanging out after school and weekends, Still smile when I think of that huge Dodge he used to drive. The kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Rest in peace.

The members of the Cork Association of Ontario were shocked to hear of the death of Donal Lynch at such a young age. We offer our deepest sympathies to his immediate family members, his dear father Daniel and younger brother Sean and to his Canadian friends and Irish relatives as well as to his Brébeuf and York University friends and classmates.
May Donal’s gentle soul rest in peace forever at God’s right hand or as it is said said in the Irish idiom that Donal loved to hear:
Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam dílis.
Seamus Lucey
Past President Cork Association of Ontario

Message from Jim and Margaret Lucey.
Condolences and sincere sympathy go out to Donal’s loving father Dan Lynch and to Donal’s younger brother Sean on the great loss of a dear son and brother Donal. Deepest sympathies also to Donal’s family friends and College Classmates and to his Lynch relations in County Cork Ireland including cousins in Aghabullogue, Coachford, Rylane and Clondrohid and those other Irish places and paternal relations often visited by both Dan and son Donal in tandem.
While we in the Lucey Family Toronto are all shocked and saddened at Donal’s untimely death, we are happy to accept God’s will and know too that Donal is now at rest and safe at shore in God's loving arms.
Donal will be sorely missed but never forgotten by his loving family and friends.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
Our prayers are with you all at this very sad time. May Donal’s gentle soul now rest in eternal peace.
“Go mbeidh na h-Aingeail sna Flaithís ag fanacht le Donal” is an old Irish Blessing which translates to say; may the angels in Heaven be waiting for dearest Donal.
Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam dílis.
Jim and Margaret Lucey and Family, Toronto

Don was always a genuine friend to me. Be it taking me for rides on his motorbike, or driving backwards in the neighbourhood in his Monaco, or playing hockey and rugby, Don had a knack for finding the humour in situations. You are missed Don, but not forgotten.

I'm gutted to learn of Dónal's passing. We first met as wee tykes--our fathers played in the same Gaelic sports league, were involved in the same Irish community and knew each other back in Ireland--so we became mates and were united by the fact that we were the only two "Dónals" we knew. A few years later we shared laughs & adventures as high school class mates. During our university years, we both had summer jobs working at a Coca-Cola plant and I'll always remember Dónal buying his motorbike and getting the hang of riding it in our first summer there. We continued to see each other over the years, on and off, usually in the company of other high school mates and he never changed.
Through all those years and incarnations, he remained a good natured, easygoing fellow; quick to laugh and slow to anger. I'll miss his company and infectious laugh. See you in Tír na nÓg, Dónal....

Sincere condolences to the Lynch family on the passing of Donal. Although I never met him, we were friends with his Dad who was a long standing member of the Cork Association of Ontario and our thoughts go out to Dan at this time.

My condolences to Donal’s family. I wanted to share a fond memory from the 80’s - Walking up Otonabee from St Agnes past Donal's house and hearing Rush playing with Donal smashing away on his kit leaning some Neil Peart. The man had heart! I am very grateful to have known Donal. Peace.
